How it works
Open a file. Stoic does the rest.
No settings to learn before the film starts. Stoic decodes with your Mac’s own hardware and renders in Metal, so playback stays light on your Mac.

GOOD COMPANY FOR YOUR NEXT MOVIE NIGHT
“I've been using Stoic nearly every day. It definitely looks better than VLC and is easy to use. I can also attest that there have been no crashes or bugs showing up. I am a programmer too, or I should say used to work as one, and having a solid process to minimize defects was always important to me, and I can tell you have a solid process in place, too.”

“It’s great. I especially liked the HDR/Dolby Vision support, the clean native macOS interface, and the ability to save individual frames and specific moments from a video.”

“it was very easy to use, no problem figuring out how to play a file. I used an 80 GB mkv which is a 4K, HDR version of Oppenheimer. It looked great”
