About Stoic. A Mac video player that shows every frame the way it was mastered.

Most players guess at colour. They ignore a file’s colour tags, squash HDR highlights, and play Dolby Vision with the wrong picture, without telling you. Stoic reads what the file says, maps it to the display it’s on, and tells you plainly when a file is missing the information it needs.

It’s a native Mac app: no account, no subscription, your library stays on your Mac.

Stoic is designed and built by Neil S. Bug reports and ideas go on the roadmap, and everything else to hello@stoicplayer.com.
